Posted by

The Golden Globes are really the first big movies awards show the kick off Oscar season. The nominations were released this week and many of the films are yet to be released here in Arizona. Here are my some of the good, bad, and shocking.
GOOD
• Nikki Blonsky being nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Hairspray.
• Casey Affleck being nominated for Supporting Actor for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
• Lars and the Real Girl getting a nomination. GO AND SEE IT!!
BAD
• Jodie Foster being nominated for Best Actress in a Drama in The Brave One. It’s not a good movie and it’s not a good performance.
• Into the Wild Getting only 2 nominations, none of which are for Acting or Feature.
• Before the Devil Knows Your Dead not appearing once on this list of nominations.
STRANGE
• The Great Debaters being nominated for Best Picture, Drama. That one came out of nowhere.
• Cate Blanchett being nominated for a role she already won an Academy Award for, Elizabeth The Golden Age.
• Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story getting more nominations than The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
