The Walker is the new detective style movie to come out starring Woody Harrelson. The movie is a fine look into the darker side of friends and murders, but is almost half finished. The movie is too long (its only 108 min) for its own good, and stretches in a way that leaves questions unanswered until the ending. Harrelson is matched with some fantastic actors like Willem Defoe, Lilly Tomlin, and Kristen Scott Thomas yet not enough time is spent on them.
Harrelson’s character is an escort for older women in the Washington DC area. Not enough time however is spent on their relationships with each other. The dialogue between them is mostly cryptic. Its not funny like in Oceans 11 but more annoying. When the murder occurs I wanted them to just catch the killer just so the movie could go on. When the ending finally begins to pick up speed its too late and too much time has been wasted. If anything Harrelson gives a good performance, but unfortunately it wasn't able to save the movie.
